Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings: Inactive Lists For Both Teams

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

We are just ninety minutes away from kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium, ladies and gentlemen, and that means that we have finally gotten the inactive lists for both teams. Let's take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both sides, starting with the visiting team as we always do.

Green Bay Packers

Chris Banjo
QB Joe Callahan
LB Jayrone Elliott
CB Josh Hawkins
OT Kyle Murphy
CB Sam Shields

Shields was downgraded from "doubtful" to "out" last night, as he's still going through the league's concussion protocol. It's an advantage for the Vikings, to be sure, but it's something that hopefully he can get past sooner rather than later.

Also, the Packers only have to declare six inactives because they have 52 players on the roster. They are still at 46 with their deactivations.

And now, on to the home team.

Minnesota Vikings

LB Kentrell Brothers
Nick Easton
DT Sharrif Floyd
TE MyCole Pruitt
CB Xavier Rhodes
LB Edmond Robinson
WR Jarius Wright

We've gone over Floyd and Rhodes being out already. Obviously it's a big hit for both the defensive line and the secondary, but the Vikings have done a decent job developing depth at both of those places, so hopefully it won't hurt them too much. Wright is inactive for the second consecutive game, as he's obviously having trouble getting past the five receivers ahead of him on the depth chart at the present time.

That's a look at the inactive lists for the Packers and the Vikings, ladies and gentlemen. We will have the Open Thread for the first quarter up and running at approximately 6:30 PM Central, an hour before kickoff.
