Packers at Vikings: Open The Doors!

According to the team’s official Twitter, the big doors will be open for tonight’s U.S. Bank Stadium opener

There’s still going to be a big ol’ roof overhead at U.S. Bank Stadium this evening when the Minnesota Vikings host the Green Bay Packers. According to the team’s official Twitter account, however, the team will be bringing some of the outdoors in after all.

The team is saying that the big doors on the side of the stadium will, in fact, be open this evening. The doors were also open during the team’s two preseason contests at U.S. Bank Stadium.

According to the good folks from Weather Underground, at kickoff time the temperature is forecast to be 77 degrees, with winds coming out of the south at around 10 miles an hour. Over the course of the evening, the temperature won’t drop that far, but the winds will shift to more of a southwesterly component as the evening moves on.

Will this have any affect on the game itself? Nobody really knows at this point. Just one more thing we’re going to learn in tonight’s big opener from U.S. Bank Stadium!
