Minnesota Vikings Release DE Denzell Perine

We didn’t hear much from Denzell Perine this preseason. That’s probably why he’s not with the team anymore.

We have another roster move for the Minnesota Vikings to report to you, and once again it’s a player that just couldn’t find a spot on a very deep defensive line for the purple.

The Vikings appear to have parted ways with defensive end Denzell Perine.

Perine was signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent from Florida International following the 2016 NFL Draft. He didn’t put up any real numbers for the Vikings this preseason. In four exhibition contests, he recorded just one tackle. With as deep a group of defensive ends as the Vikings have, that wasn’t going to cut it.

By my count, as things stand right now, the Vikings are down to 71 players on their roster. They need to be down to 53 by 3:00 PM Central time on Saturday. As we continue getting word about players being released. . .or, potentially, added. . .we will have the moves here for you.
