It's Friday, and Friday in the National Football League is injury report day. We've gotten our hands on the injury reports for both of the teams involved in this weekend's game in Charlotte, so let's take a look at the bumps and bruises on both sides. We start, as always, with the visiting team.

Minnesota Vikings

Player Position Injury Wednesday Thursday Friday Sunday Status
Sharrif Floyd DT Knee DNP DNP DNP Out
Adrian Peterson RB Knee DNP DNP DNP Out
MyCole Pruitt TE Knee LP LP LP Questionable
Xavier Rhodes CB Knee LP LP LP Questionable
Stefon Diggs WR Groin -- -- DNP --
Danielle Hunter DE Knee LP FP FP --
Eric Kendricks LB Ankle LP FP FP --
Zach Line FB Neck FP FP FP --
Jerick McKinnon RB Toe FP FP FP --
Kyle Rudolph TE Groin LP FP FP --

We know about what happened this past week with Floyd and Peterson, so no mysteries there. Diggs didn't practice on Friday, but all indications are that he will be playing on Sunday. Diggs was apparently held out for "precautionary" reasons, which probably means "man, we absolutely can't afford to get this guy hurt." The big question is whether or not Rhodes is going to play, since the odds are pretty good that he'd get the majority of matchups against his former Florida State teammate, Kelvin Benjamin. Benjamin has been on a roll through the first two games of the season, and having Rhodes out there would help the Vikings' secondary a lot.

And now, on to the home team.

Carolina Panthers

Player Position Injury Wednesday Thursday Friday Sunday Status
Jonathan Stewart RB Hamstring DNP DNP DNP Out
Jeremy Cash LB Hamstring DNP DNP DNP Doubtful
Kawann Short DT Shoulder DNP LP FP Questionable
Trai Turner G Ankle DNP FP FP Questionable

Stewart is a loss for the Panthers, but not one they can't smooth over. The carries at running back on Sunday will be split between Fozzy Whitaker (wocka, wocka) and Cameron Artis-Payne. I'd be positively shocked if Short or Turner missed this one, so Stewart appears to be the only injury of significance for the Panthers.

That's a look at the injury report for both teams going into this Sunday's contest, folks. We'll have more coverage of this one as we get closer to game time.
