While Sundays are for the action and excitement of the National Football League, Saturday afternoons in the fall are for college football. This thread is to give you a place to talk about all of today’s college football action with your fellow fans of the Minnesota Vikings.

The local team is back at it again after a week off, as the Minnesota Golden Gophers will be in action this morning. They will face off against the Colorado State Rams at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Minnesota is about a two-touchdown favorite, but that doesn’t mean things are going to be easy. This contest will kick off at 11 AM Central time, and it will be broadcast on ESPNU. For more coverage of this one, our friends over at The Daily Gopher have everything you could ask for.

As far as the five-time, five-time, five-time, five-time, five-time reigning and defending FCS Champions, the North Dakota State University Bison. . .well, after their big upset of #13 Iowa last week at Kinnick Stadium, they’ll be taking this week off.

As far as match-ups between Top 25 teams are concerned, we’ve got a couple of those this week. One will take us to the Southeastern Conference, and more specifically to Oxford, Mississippi. That one will see the Georgia Bulldogs, the #12 team in America, taking to the road to battle Laquon Treadwell’s alma mater, the 23rd-ranked Ole Miss Rebels. That one will also kick off at 11 AM Central and be shown on ESPN.

There’s also a huge matchup in the B1G at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing. Starting at 11 AM Central on the Big Ten Network, it will be the 11th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers making the trip across the border to take on the 8th-ranked Michigan State Spartans. Fans of the B1G know that this is set to be one of the games of the year in the conference, and should present some pretty solid action.

The SEC will also have a matchup of Top 25 teams later this afternoon at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee. That contest will pit the #19 team in America, the Florida Gators, against the 14th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers. That one will get underway at around 2:30 PM Central time, and will be shown on CBS.

Sticking with the SEC, they’ll have a third all-Top 25 contest today, and this final one will be shown in prime time. This one will be on the big stage of Jerryworld. . .er, AT&T Stadium. . .in Arlington, Texas. The 17th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks and the Texas A&M Aggies, ranked #10, will get together in that one. The contest gets underway at 8:00 PM Central time, and will be shown on ESPN.

Those are some of the highlights of today’s football action, but that’s certainly not all of the action. Whatever game you’re watching or whatever players you might be interested in, you can talk about all of it right here. Enjoy your afternoon of football, ladies and gentlemen!
