Minnesota Vikings Waive FB Blake Renaud

There isn’t enough room for two fullbacks on the Vikings roster after all.

The fullback position is a bit of a dying breed in the National Football League. There’s still a spot for one with the Minnesota Vikings, but with Zach Line having one spot on lockdown, there doesn’t appear to be room for a second.

According to numerous sources, the Vikings have waived fullback Blake Renaud.

Renaud went undrafted out of Boise State in 2015, and signed with the Vikings. He spent last season on the practice squad. It didn’t appear he had a big opportunity to make the team this season, and now we will have to wait and see whether or not the Vikings use a practice squad spot on him again.

The Vikings are continuing to make roster moves, as they have approximately ninety minutes to get their roster down to 53 players. As they continue to make moves, we will be keeping track of all of them right here at The Daily Norseman.
