I have a strange feeling that we’re going to be hearing about this one for a while.
4th round pick OL Beavers being let go, I hear. #Vikings

According to Darren Wolfson of KSTP in Minneapolis, the Minnesota Vikings are waiving offensive lineman Willie Beavers.
The selection of Beavers in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft (#121 overall) was largely panned, as he graded out fairly poorly in college at Western Michigan. Still, the Vikings’ staff clearly saw something in him, as they used a pretty high selection to bring him to Minnesota.
From everything we’ve seen so far on social media, Beavers is the highest draft pick thus far to not make the team that selected him. After having invested that much capital in him, you would think the team would effort to bring him back to the practice squad. But, we won’t know until Sunday afternoon if they intend to do so.
We are nearly to the deadline for teams to have their rosters down to 53 players, folks. Thanks for sticking with us through all the cuts!
