Continuing the cuts that need to be finished by 3 PM Central time, the Minnesota Vikings have let go of a player that has been with the team for a while.
Per numerous sources, the Vikings have waived linebacker Brandon Watts. Watts was a seventh-round pick of the Vikings out of Georgia Tech in 2014, and had primarily been a special teams player during his time in Minnesota. He spent a lot of time inactive as a rookie, but had developed into a pretty good special teamer over the past two seasons.
The Vikings have turned the linebacker position into a pretty solid group over the past couple of years. Watts was going to have a hard time making the roster this time around, and it appears that his time in Minnesota has officially come to an end.
We’re nearly to the roster deadline for this year, ladies and gentlemen. Stay here with us to find out all the names that the Vikings have released before 3 PM Central time today.
