Add another name to the list of players that couldn’t crack the depth chart on the defensive line for the Minnesota Vikings.
Told to add DT Kenrick Ellis to #Vikings cuts.

According to Darren Wolfson of KSTP in Minneapolis, the Vikings are releasing defensive tackle Kenrick Ellis.
Ellis was signed by the Vikings last season after playing several seasons with the New York Jets and a short stint with the New York Giants. The 335-pounder got some opportunities to play late in the season when the Vikings were having injury issues along the defensive front, but with the return of Shamar Stephen after he lost a season to injury, there just wasn’t room for Ellis on the roster.
As Ellis has more than four years of service in the NFL, he will not be subject to the waiver process and can immediately sign with anybody.
We have three more cuts to find out about before we get a final roster for the Minnesota Vikings. Hopefully those will be coming along any time now.
