We still have a full weekend to get through before the Vikings' next games. Let's have some fun conversations until then, huh?

Longship Log:

There was a massive podcast put together by the Daily Norseman yesterday.

Eric Thompson previewed the Giants game and made his picks for the week.

Around the Horns:

Linval Joseph is taking a liking to his new role as one of the Vikings' pass-rushers. Randy Moss thinks the Sam Bradford trade was a smart move to make by the Vikings.

Is the Vikings' 3-0 start surprising or expected?

KFAN has their notebook together. They also take a look at the numbers between the Vikings and their next opponent, the Giants.

NFL Films has their look at a (content removed) between the Panthers and Vikings last Sunday.

Football Outsiders is questioning whether the Vikings are the best team in the NFL this year.

Terence Newman is playing very well thus far.

Swords from an Opposing Hordes:

Josh Gordon is checking himself into an in-patient rehab facility. In other news, that paternity test he took a while back proved he was the father of that kid.

J.J. Watt underwent season-ending back surgery yesterday.

Randy Gregory continues to be a massive idiot.

Lady Gaga is confirmed as the Halftime Performer for this year's Super Bowl.

Drew Brees is looking forward to returning to San Diego.

Minnesota sports update:

They won a game! They beat the Royals 7-6, nearly blowing yet another late-inning lead. The Twins head to Chicago to finish their season against the Chicago White Sox. Tyler Duffey will oppose Carlos Rodon, and the game will start at 7:10 CT.

The Minnesota Lynx look to finish off their semifinal playoff series against the No. 8 Phoenix Mercury tonight after winning their first game 113-95. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. CT.

Here's a film study done on the Vikings by a member of the Texans SB Nation blog. Thought you might enjoy it.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door

With that, the disco light is down and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your local dolphin brigade, & try the Freezie pop on a fork.
