Happy Wednesday, everyone!
It’s the peak of the week, and we’re inching ever closer to our first standoff against the hated Packers. I was hoping to see Bradford out there for this one, but after seeing him on Monday, I won’t hold my breath. I do know that with this defense, we will never be out of many games, so it should be fun to watch.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Chris opens the discussion about Goose vs. Grey Duck, which really shouldn’t be a discussion, since there is no such thing as Grey Duck,, only Grey Goose.
Chris looks at whether the Adrian Peterson trade will affect the Vikings’ 2018 draft selections.
Ted asks if Sam Bradford should have started.
Eric looks at five game-changing plays from Monday night.
Wludford has some game notes from Monday’s game.
Chris has some shirts containing some phrase that people in 49 out of 50 states have never heard of.
Vikings news from other sources:
Bradford is day-to-day, and Teddy is having an exam to see if he may be ready to play, per ESPN.
From Vikings.com, Coach Zimmer addressed the media yesterday, and the NFL Network looks at whether the Vikings are a legit contender in the NFC North. Dumb question, of course they are.
Around the rest of the NFL:
NFL.com looks at the winners and losers of the Adrian Peterson trade. I don’t care, I still like Peterson & loved that he gave us a reason to watch for a lot of years when there were few other reasons for us Vikings fans to tune in, best of luck to him in Arizona, he’s a much better fit there.
We come to our media selection.
Hey, here’s one from back in my high school partying days, some Great White. Enjoy!
We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep vulgar language to a minimum, using spoiler tags if you must
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the chitlins.
