To cap the first half of their 2017 NFL season, the Minnesota Vikings will take a trip across the Atlantic to merry olde England. The site for this week’s game will be Twickenham Stadium in the southwestern part of London, and the Vikings’ opponents in this one will be the Cleveland Browns, who will serve as the “home” team for this week’s contest.
The Vikings are riding a three-game winning streak, having knocked off the Baltimore Ravens 24-16 in Week 7 action. Their record currently sits at 5-2, and it would appear that they have taken firm control of the NFC North as we reach the midway point of the 2017 season.
The Browns, on the other hand. . .well, it’s been kind of ugly. After their 12-9 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 7, the Browns remain one of two winless teams in the National Football League, sitting at 0-7. On top of that, it appears that they may have lost the face of their franchise, offensive tackle Joe Thomas, who left Week 7’s game with a tricep injury that could cause him to miss the rest of the season.
We will have all of our stories relating to this week’s trip across the pond here in one place for you to find more easily.
