Anthony Barr responds to Aaron Rodgers Conan O’Brien visit with amazing tweet

Barr doesn't take kindly to Rodgers playing the victim #13dayslater

The rivalry between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers just got a lot more interesting with a tweet.

By now we all know the about the hit that Aaron Rodgers took from Anthony Barr when they played in week six. That resulted in a broken collar bone for Rodgers, who is out for the foreseeable future.

Initially Rodgers on live TV had directed some colorful language towards Barr, but the story doesn’t end there. Rodgers has since gone on Conan O’Brien and said that his choice words for Barr were in response to Barr giving him the finger and doing the “suck it” sigh a la early WWE and DX.

The Vikings are in London this week, so it took Barr some time to respond. But it was well worth the wait. Among other things Barr touched on why he did what he did. “I look over and it’s y’all mans calling me all kinds of names, F you this F you that as he’s walking off the field. so naturally I responded.” Barr goes on to say, “I don’t care if you aaron rodgers or Mr Rodgers, if you say something like that you’re gonna get a response from me.”

We all know that football isn’t the friendliest of sports, so Barr’s response to a yelling Rodgers isn’t surprising. But what is surprising is that Rodgers and Packers nation hasn’t and probably won’t let this go. This wasn’t an intentional hit. The NFL never fined or reprimanded Barr so why this hasn’t died is beyond me. It’s not beyond me, but let’s stay focused.

Obviously Packer fans have rallied around Rodgers with beating the dead horse so week 16 will be a lot more fun, especially if Rodgers is back.
