Oh boy oh boy, we get some Vikings football tonight, AND it’s Monday. About as good as it gets.

Happy Monday, everyone!

A billion thanks to just_rob for covering last week, I really appreciate it. I was completely unable to log in to the DN from my work computer, and it’s the only computer I had with me on my trip, so I was up the proverbial poop river without a paddle.

Assuming Bradford starts and is near 100%, how do you think tonight’s game will turn out?

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Ted shares what he expects to see tonight.

Chris has the final injury reports for both teams.

Chris shared the LaCanfora story (CBS) that Teddy Bridgewater will be activated from the PUP list after the Packers game, which would be the earliest he would be able to be activated. I love this news, I’m pulling really hard for this kid & hope to see him leading the purple again soon.

From Chris, Mike Zimmer doesn’t have a crystal ball.....or does he?

Chris breaks down ALL THE COVERAGE for tonight’s game.

Chris shared ESPN’s report that Mike Zimmer anticipates Bradford playing tonight. I sure hope so, I’m glad we’ve had Keenum to fill in (sooooooo much better than Shaun Hill), but we need Sam back out there.

Vikings news from other sources:

From, ESPN’s Sean McDonough talked with Wobby about the Vikings-Bears matchup, Wobby and PA also discussed the team, and lots more in the media vault.

From Fox Sports, Diggs and Thielen are emerging as the league’s top WR duo.

News from around the rest of the NFL:

From, J.J. Watt is out for the season with a tibial plateau fracture.

Also from, all the scores from week 5, with links to highlights and more.

We come to our media selection.

I love this band, & here’s one of my favorites of theirs. It’s The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band with Long Hard Road, great stuff.

We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep vulgar language to a minimum, using spoiler tags if you must
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the liver and onions.
