Case Keenum nominated for FedEx Air Player of the Week Award

He’s being recognized for his performance against the Washington Redskins

For his outstanding performance in the Minnesota Vikings’ 38-30 victory over the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field, quarterback Case Keenum has been nominated for this week’s FedEx Air Player of the Week Award.

Keenum completed 21-of-29 passes for 304 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in the Vikings’ big victory in the nation’s capital. He did have two fairly ugly interceptions, but bounced back to lead a drive that, ultimately, put the game out of range for the Redskins and gave the purple their fifth consecutive victory.

This is the second time Keenum has been nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week Award this season. He was nominated for his big performance in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but lost out that week to some guy named Tom Brady.

Keenum’s competition for the award is the quarterback the Vikings will see this week, Jared Goff of the Los Angeles Rams, and C.J. Beathard of the San Francisco 49ers.

So, if you want to make sure that Keenum doesn’t get beaten out for a second time this year, you can head on over to the voting page at NFL.com and cast your vote!
