Merry Thirsty Thorsday, DN faithful!
Proxy servers, it’s not that hard to figure out some of them. If you’re here to cause a problem, I’ll get rid of the cause before it becomes a problem. Fair ‘nuff?
Around the DN since our last open thread:
The Vikings announced that Case Keenum will be the starter on Sunday against the Rams.
From Chris, Tom Johnson is managing to stick out on a loaded offensive line. Chris brings up a great point here, you can’t help but be impressed by Johnson. :) He’s largely unheralded, but he seems to have a difference-making play or two in every game.
Vikings news from other sources:
From the Strib, Everson Griffen is still in pursuit of a record, even though he missed a game last week.
Over at Vikings.com, the NFL Playbook crew has a Vikings-Rams preview, Coach Zimmer addressed the media yesterday, Case Keenum is excited to play against his old team(s), and a lot more to watch in the media vault.
News from around the rest of the league:
The NFL is accusing Jerry Jones of damaging the league, per the Wall Street Journal. Wow, a little lost revenue has really caused a fecal storm.
In a completely related story that the league and Cowboys will say is unrelated, Ezekiel Elliot has withdrawn his appeal and will serve his suspension, per NFL.com. I don’t believe in coincidences, I’m guessing this was a deal between Jerry Jones and
Vince McMahon Roger Goodell.
We come to today’s media selection.
When it comes to rock, it don’t get any better than this. Crank it up!
We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep vulgar language to a minimum, using spoiler tags if you must
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the blood sausage
