Every week, after the bulk of the week’s NFL action has been completed, Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders places some calls to players and coaches around the league. As Sanders says, “if you ball, you get the call.” Well, after the Minnesota Vikings’ 24-7 defeat of the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Sanders decided to place a call to Vikings’ head coach Mike Zimmer.

Now, it’s worth noting that Sanders and Zimmer have some significant history. Zimmer was the defensive backs coach for the Dallas Cowboys from 1994 to 1999, and Sanders played for Dallas from 1995 to 1999. So, Sanders and Zimmer go way back. That’s reflected pretty well in this conversation, as it just sounds like a couple of old friends talking about football.
Once they get past Coach Zimmer’s difficulties navigating the selfie stick (or whatever apparatus they’re using to record the interview), it’s a pretty funny interview. The video is only a couple of minutes long, but it’s still pretty enjoyable.
