We are just ninety minutes away from kickoff at Ford Field for this year’s Thanksgiving Day contest between the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions. Both teams have released their inactive lists for today’s game, so let’s take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both sides.

Minnesota Vikings

  • DE Tashawn Bower
  • RB Mack Brown
  • WR Stacy Coley
  • OL Aviante Collins
  • DT Jaleel Johnson
  • OT Mike Remmers
  • QB Kyle Sloter

Remmers remains on the sideline with his concussion issues, making this the third consecutive game that he has missed. Rashod Hill, who has played well in Remmers’ place, will get his third consecutive start. Andrew Sendejo is back and will start at safety, and Brian Robison is back for depth along the defensive line as well.

And now, on to the home team.

Detroit Lions

  • CB Jamal Agnew
  • OL Don Barclay
  • OT Emmett Cleary
  • DE Dwight Freeney
  • RB Tion Green
  • DE Jeremiah Valoaga
  • RB Dwayne Washington

Freeney was just claimed off of waivers yesterday, and the team has decided that he’s not going to be seeing any action in this one, which might be a good thing for the Vikings. Ezekiel Ansah, who was listed as questionable with a back injury, is active for the Lions and will start. Agnew being out is a big loss for the Lions as well, as he serves as their punt returner and has two punt returns for scores this season.

That’s a look at the inactive lists for both sides in this Thanksgiving Day battle, folks. The Open Thread for the first quarter of play will be up at approximately 10:30 AM Central time, an hour before kickoff.
