Merry Wednesday, everyone!
We’re getting to the weekend and to game day, slowly but surely. This may be brief, my apologies.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Saxyprince grades the coaching staff at the halfway point of the season.
Chris took a brief look at Vikings/Redskins history.
This will get everyone excited! The team made a roster move yesterday! Yep, Willie Beavers is back in purple, per Chris. I hope no one was dented as he entered the building.
Here’s a halftime analysis of the Vikings season by wludford.
Teddy is making it back to the team, and he didn’t have to climb through a poop filled pipe to get here, from Chris.
Sam Bradford is visiting Dr. James Andrews....again, and the Vikings won’t waive Sergeant Kyle Sloter, per Chris.
Most of us knew this was coming, and J-Dog confirmed our suspicions as he reported that Sam Bradford underwent surgery and is out indefinitely. Best of luck to him in his recovery, I hope he gets a shot to play again, if he so desires.
Vikings news from elsewhere:
Over at Vikings.com, they share the NFL Network piece where they debate who should be coach of the year, Mike Garafolo has the latest on Sam Bradford, and there’s much more in the media vault.
News from around the rest of the league:
From NFL.com, Josh Gordon returns to the NFL. I hope he can keep his life together, he has too much talent to let it go to waste.
Bryan Bulaga is out with a torn ACL, per NFL.com.
Miko Grimes (Brent Grimes’ wife) is talking publicly again, per the Sporting News. She should probably stop doing that.
We come to our media selection.
Hey, here’s something rare, some good music from the 90s.
We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep vulgar language to a minimum, using spoiler tags if you must
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the blood sausage.
