We are less than ninety minutes away from kickoff at Bank of America Stadium between the Minnesota Vikings and the Carolina Panthers. That means that both teams have released their inactive lists for this week’s contest, so let’s take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both teams.
Minnesota Vikings
- DE Tashawn Bower
- WR Stacy Coley
- C Pat Elflein
- DT Jaleel Johnson
- TE David Morgan
- OT Mike Remmers
- QB Kyle Sloter
Elflein was listed as questionable on this week’s injury report with a shoulder injury, and it appears that it was too much for him to overcome this week. Nick Easton will slide in at center with Jeremiah Sirles taking his spot at left guard. Other than that, no surprises among the inactives for the Vikings today.
And now, let’s move on to the home side.
Carolina Panthers
- FB Alex Armah
- QB Garrett Gilbert
- CB LaDarius Gunter
- C Tyler Larsen
- DE Zach Moore
- OT Amini Silatolu
- LB Shaq Thompson
No real surprises for the Panthers on the injury report, either. Thompson was already listed as out, and Larsen didn’t practice all week. The Panthers will have center Ryan Kalil and tight end Greg Olsen available for this one, which is pretty big news for them. Wide receiver Devin Funchess, who did not practice on Friday and was listed as questionable with a shoulder issue, is active as well.
That’s a look at who will be sitting this one out for both the Minnesota Vikings and the Carolina Panthers, ladies and gentlemen. Our Open Thread for the first quarter will be ready and available for your commenting pleasure at the top of the 11:00 AM Central time hour.
