Most football fans are familiar with the series A Football Life that airs on the NFL Network. A couple of years ago, we spotlighted the network’s episode that featured Minnesota Vikings’ Hall of Fame defensive tackle Alan Page. This coming Friday, another Vikings’ defensive tackle will find himself in the spotlight.
On 15 December at 8:00 PM Central, the NFL Network is set to air John Randle: A Football Life.
We’ve talked a lot over the years about Randle’s rise to prominence, coming from being an undrafted free agent to being one of the great defensive linemen in Vikings’ history and, ultimately, making his way to Canton and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. If this episode is anywhere near as good as the Page episode was, it should be an outstanding watch for Vikings’ fans everywhere.
This is also a historic episode of A Football Life for another reason: This is the 100th installment of the show in the history of the series. So that’s kind of cool, too.
Make sure to make some time on Friday night and/or set your DVR so that you don’t miss this one, folks. I think it’s going to be a pretty good one. Seriously, how could it not be?
