It’s 12 days until Christmas, and it was above freezing in ND, something’s wrong

John Randle #93

Merry Wednesday, everyone!

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Chris lays out all the possible Vikings playoff scenarios for week 15.

Arif posted Norse Code Episode 215: The Matt Kalil Revenge Game.

Chris has the latest Minnesota Vikings Power Rankings Roundup.

The Vikings made a couple practice squad moves, as they waived Jack Tocho and signed Storm Norton.

Michael Floyd thanked the Patriots and Vikings for giving him another chance.

Our very own Eric joined the BS Show with Bob Sansevere.

Vikings news from other sources:

From the Strib, the Vikings’ success this season is complicating Super Bowl prep. Now we’re complaining about a successful season? Uff-da.

From Vikings.com, John Randle talks about being featured on ‘A Football Life’ and other topics, Syd Davy of VWO was on Purple Ink to discuss his Vikings art, and there’s lots more to sift through in the media vault.

News from around the rest of the NFL:

From ESPN, all-time TD return leader, and long-time Vikings nemesis, Devin Hester has announced his retirement from the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers has been cleared to play, and is to start against Carolina, per NFL.com. Well, I guess I’ll avoid the national sports media for the rest of the week. I wonder how many batteries their drill went through to take out all 130,000 screws? Maybe they had one of those new DeWalt 6.0 amp hour 20v batteries, I want one of those.

We come to today’s media selection.

I don’t think I’ve played Steve Earl in a while, and that’s a shame. We need to change that.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion

-No feeding of the trolls

-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door

-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)

-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags

-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer

-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away

-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the tiger meat.
