Cincinnati Bengals at Minnesota Vikings: Inactive lists for both teams

Who will be sitting things out this afternoon?

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at Minnesota Vikings Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

We are less than ninety minutes away from kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium, which means that the Minnesota Vikings and the Cincinnati Bengals have both released their inactive lists for this afternoon’s contest. Let’s take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both teams. As always, we will start with the visitors

Cincinnati Bengals

  • WR Tyler Boyd
  • LB Vontaze Burfict
  • CB Dre Kirkpatrick
  • RB Joe Mixon
  • DL Josh Tupou
  • LB Nick Vigil
  • OL Christian Westerman

No real surprises on the inactive list for the Bengals. They had listed a bunch of players as being out on their final injury report, and Mixon was downgraded from questionable to out after failing to pass the concussion protocol prior to the Bengals departing for Minneapolis.

Now, on to the home team.

Minnesota Vikings

  • CB Mackensie Alexander
  • DE Tashawn Bower
  • RB Mack Brown
  • WR Stacy Coley
  • DT Jaleel Johnson
  • OT Riley Reiff
  • QB Kyle Sloter

Reiff is inactive for this one, meaning that Rashod Hill will get the start today at left tackle. The Vikings’ regular right tackle, Mike Remmers, is back today after missing five games with a couple of different injuries. And, after a couple of days of seemingly miraculous healing, tight end Kyle Rudolph is active for the Vikings in this one. Pat Elflein is also back at center after missing last week’s game against Carolina.

That’s a look at the inactive lists for both the Vikings and the Bengals going into this afternoon’s game at U.S. Bank Stadium. Our Open Thread for the first quarter will be up and running at the top of the 11:00 AM Central time hour.
