The Packers put out a press release today that Aaron Rodgers has been placed on IR, ending his season. This wasn’t a big surprise, given the Packers had officially been eliminated from post-season contention with Atlanta’s win over the Bucs last night.
Rodgers was also not 100% in the game against Carolina, and Packers coach Mike McCarthy said he was pretty sore, and got hit too many times.
In any case, it’s likely the Vikings will face Brett Hundley on Saturday, and maybe even Joe Callahan, if the Packers are intent on seeing what they have for depth players in their remaining two games to finish their season.
#Packers place QB Aaron Rodgers on injured reserve & sign QB Joe Callahan.
