The final road trip of the Minnesota Vikings’ 2017 regular season will be their shortest, as they will head a few hours to the east to take on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
The Vikings are 11-3 on the season and are fighting towards a first-round bye in the 2017 NFL playoffs. A win on Saturday night would go a long way towards securing that, and would keep them in the running for the #1 overall seed in the NFC pending the results of the Philadelphia game on Monday. The Packers currently sit at 7-7 and have been eliminated from postseason contention this year, meaning they will be watching the playoffs from home for the first time since 2008.
Everyone knows what happened the last time these two teams got together in Week 6 at U.S. Bank Stadium. Anthony Barr put a legal hit on Aaron Rodgers on Green Bay’s second series, and the result was an injured collarbone for the Green Bay quarterback. The Vikings would go on to win that afternoon by a score of 23-10 and start propelling themselves to the 2017 NFC North division title.
This game will be taking place on Saturday this week, not on Sunday, and it will be in prime time on NBC, which is KARE-11 in the Twin Cities area. We will have plenty more on this one as we get closer to kickoff.
