Thanks to the folks from Norse Code for finding this and posting it on the Twitters for easier finding.

During today’s pregame festivities, ESPN aired an interview that Randy Moss conducted with current Vikings’ star wide receiver Adam Thielen. Thielen, who has officially broken the Vikings’ drought of seasons without a 1,000-yard wide receiver, got a chance to sit down with a guy that he grew up watching, and it’s a pretty cool little piece.

While we’ve all heard the “Adam Thielen Story” a bunch of times, Moss actually takes a bit of a different route, as he and Thielen talk about the first time the two of them met, a meeting that occurred when Thielen visited Vikings’ camp as a youngster. Thielen then talks about what he had to do to finally get his shot, playing to his strengths and getting a chance to catch the eyes of Vikings scouts.

Moss and Thielen then get into what Thielen’s backup plan would have been if the whole football thing hadn’t worked out, and a bit about Case Keenum and how he’s been playing as well.

Overall, Moss does a heck of an interview with Thielen, and the only bad thing about it is that it isn’t a whole lot longer. At the rate Thielen is going, though, he’s going to end up with one of those 30 for 30 specials about his rise to prominence, so maybe they’re saving the best stuff for that.
