The Minnesota Vikings have an opportunity to wrap up the NFC North and strengthen their grip on the top seed in the NFC playoff chase on Sunday afternoon, as they head to Charlotte to take on the Carolina Panthers.
Minnesota can wrap up their second division title in three years with either a victory or losses by both the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. They come into this game winners of their last eight games and sitting in the top spot in the NFC with a 10-2 record, leading the Philadelphia Eagles on tiebreakers for the current #1 seed.
The Panthers are still in the thick of both the NFC South division race and the wild card hunt, and would be the #6 seed in the NFC if the postseason started today. They’re coming off of a loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 13, and they’ve now been swept by the Saints, so they have an uphill climb ahead of them if they want to get back to the top of the NFC South.
This game will be shown on CBS (not FOX), and will kick off from Charlotte at 12:00 PM Central time. We will have plenty of coverage of this game right here for your reading pleasure.
