Horns, Swords and a Longship: February 17, 2017

Longship Log

Norse Code’s new podcast has dropped.

Around the Horns

Matthew Coller believes that the Dolphins could be trying to trade their left tackle before releasing him to the open market and thinks the Vikings should, at the very least, check on the price. He also thinks (rightly, in my mind) that the Vikings should spend some of their cap room on a nickel corner, whether it’s Captain or another player.

The new Purple FTW podcast has dropped. VT thinks that Randy was the GOAT. They have Adrian Peterson speculation for your enjoyment.

The Vikings have found their new wide receivers coach.

HE’S BAAAAAACCCCKKKKKKKK.

PFW has ten free agents that the Vikings have to make decisions on soon.

The 2016 draft is not looking kindly upon the Vikings thus far.

Barnwell has five moves the Vikings (and other dwellers in the Black and Blue Division) should make this offseason.

Swords From the Opposing Hordes:

Darrelle Revis is in some deep, deep guano.

Tony Romo is expecting to be released and believes he can play two or three more years.

Zac Stacy has retired from the NFL.

The Dolphins released DL’s Mario Williams and Earl Mitchell and cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu.

The Titans are working to game the system a little.

Minnesota Sports Update:

The Wild won yesterday, 3-1, against the FNG’s. The Wild return to action tomorrow against the Perds, with the puck dropping at ~7:10 p.m. CT. They have a game next Tuesday against the Blackhawks at home and then they will be on their bye week until the 27th, when they take on the Kings.

The Timberwolves helped themselves out big-time on Wednesday with their 112-99 win over the current eight-seed Denver Nuggets. The Wolves are off until next Friday evening when they host the Dallas Mavericks at home. That game will tip off right around 7:00 p.m. CT.

Let’s take a trip to the lighter side of things today, shall we?

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion

-No feeding of the trolls

-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)

-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags

-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment

-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door

With that, the disco light is down and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your local dolphin brigade, & try the butter-roasted fish sticks.
