Merry Thorsday, everyone!

Another beautiful, sub-zero day here in sunny Bismarck, but hey, it’s my Friday. I’m taking tomorrow off to go ice fishing, it’s supposed to be 40 above zero (summer weather), so I’m going to take advantage.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Rick Spielman loves collecting draft picks, per Eric.

Chris says it’s time for the Vikings to make a premium O-line investment.

Vikings news from other sources:

From Scout.com, John Randle shared his opinion of the Adrian Peterson situation.

ESPN has their offseason predictions for the Vikings.

From Vikings.com:

From Craig Peters, the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee Legacy Fund donated $52,000 to the Loppet Foundation. Also, Matt Asiata is an inspiration to his cousin, an OL prospect from Utah.

‘Kyle Rudolph’s End Zone’ plans were unveiled at the U of M Masonic Children’s Hospital, from Lindsey Young. This is pretty neat stuff, hits close to home.

Around the rest of the NFL:

From NFL.com, Mike Mayock says he’d be scared to death to draft a QB in the top 10 this year.

The Rams have named Matt LaFleur as their offensive coordinator, per NFL.com. LeFleur was the QBs coach for the Falcons.

CBS Sports has the latest coaching and GM changes.

From ESPN, the Packers cut CB Sam Shields, but he doesn’t plan to retire.

We come to today’s media selection.

Hey, let’s throw another one out there from the 90s.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the chitlins.
