Merry Wednesday everyone!

Hey, March is finally here, and you know what that means. That’s right, it means very little. Hey, at least spring is getting closer, though.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Eric shared the news that the Vikings will not exercise Adrian Peterson’s 2017 option.

Bill Polian doesn’t think Randy Moss should be in the Hall of Fame.....which pretty much discredits any opinion he’s ever had, or will ever have again.

The Vikings are among the league’s favorites to sign Adrian Peterson, per Chris. I could definitely see that happening, especially once AD hits the market and sees the offers. I really doubt he’ll hit a big payday again, but who knows.

Vikings news from other sources:

Michael Rand wonders where AD ranks among the Vikings’ greats, including Randy Moss.

From Vikings.com:

Lindsey Young pointed out that defensive linemen dominate the free agency primer’s first group. She also noted that Spielman is placing an emphasis on improving the offensive line in 2017.

Randy Moss was on Total Access and weighed in on how Rick can move on from AD.

Here’s a highlight reel of Adrian Peterson’s top 10 plays.

Around the rest of the NFL.

Another veteran running back was released yesterday, as the Chiefs released Jamaal Charles, per NFL.com. Also, the Jets have informed Darrelle Revis of his impending release.

Other sports news of note:

The Wild fought to the end and pulled out another W last night, as they beat the Jets, 6-5. The Avalanche also continued doing what they do, as they got skunked.

We come to today’s media selection.

Let’s play some more Jimi, shall we?

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the hog maws.
