Adrian Peterson, Man On The Street

Part of his free agency preparations, no doubt.

With the news that he is set to be a free agent for the first time in his career a week from today, running back Adrian Peterson appears to be gearing up by. . .doing interviews about road rage?

Yes, while walking around the streets of Houston, the (soon-to-be) former Minnesota Vikings’ running back was stopped by John Donnelly, a reporter for the local FOX affiliate, for a “man on the street” type of interview segment. He answered the question that Donnelly posed in a calm and reasoned fashion.

The best part? Donnelly, apparently, had no idea he was talking to Peterson until after he gave his name.

The interview clip was posted by Donnelly to his FaceBook page, and you can also see it below:

It seems a bit strange that Donnelly didn’t recognize Peterson, given that he certainly knew of Adrian Peterson based on his reaction. Then again, not everybody is as obsessed with football as some of us are. Still, it was a pretty cool moment, and Peterson handled it like a professional.
