Happy Monday, everyone!
Welcome to the first day of spring (officially). I hope you all had a great weekend, it was really nice here & it felt good to spend lots of time outside. There wasn’t much new NFL news over the weekend, but I’ll share what little I can find.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Chris has a tally on the gains & losses so far, & wants you to grade the Vikings’ free agency.
Chris also looks at who’s still left for the Vikings to consider pursuing in free agency.
Finally, Ted checks in with his free agency Stock Market Report.
Vikings news from other sources:
Andrew Krammer has a good piece in the Strib about the Vikings’ new look after free agency.
From Vikings.com, Craig Peters has a prospect profile on a guy who’s of interest to a lot of folks here, center Pat Elfein.
While the Vikings worked on his contract, Latavius Murray worked on his MBA, per ESPN.
Around the rest of the NFL:
From ESPN, Cordarrelle Patterson is recruiting Adrian Peterson to join the Raiders.
Ben Rothlisberger is leaning towards returning in 2017, per NFL.com.
Derek Carr helped out a stranded motorist, & as many of us agree, is also a really good guy, from The Blaze.
We come to today’s media selection.
I couldn’t think of a better selection than this for today.
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the menudo.
