Merry Thorsday, everyone!

April is almost upon us, which means regular season baseball is only days away. Man, I can’t wait. Sports-wise, this is the worst time of year, no football or baseball. But luckily, it’s spring fishing time. I love this time of year.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Chris broke down the new rule changes that were enacted at the NFL Annual Meetings.

Mike Zimmer is pretty involved in Teddy Bridgewater’s rehab. I can’t wait to watch these two dominate the NFL for a decade or so.

Harrison Smith had ankle surgery, per Chris. The injury stemmed from an injury he suffered in the Dallas game.

Arif posted Norse Code Podcast Episode 178: Sharrif Needs A Hug.

Mike Zimmer wants Linval Joseph to work on rushing the passer, per Chris.

Vikings news from other sources:

From TwinCities.com, Coach Zimmer said money was a factor in letting AD go.

From Vikings.com:

Here’s a video of Mike Zimmer’s media session from yesterday.

Eric Smith has a prospect profile on Ohio State CB Careon Conley.

Lyndsey Young makes a case for Jim Marshall getting into the Hall-Of-Fame.

Around the rest of the NFL:

T.J. McDonald will find it harder to get a team to sign him. The free agent has been suspended by the NFL for the first eight games of the season, per ESPN.

From Fox Sports, John Fox says the Bears are within ‘striking distance’ after last year’s 3-13 performance. Striking distance of what? Another high draft pick?

We come to today’s media selection.

How’s about a little Primus?

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the lengua.
