Merry Monday, everyone!

I hope you all had a good weekend. I was a bachelor for the weekend, so I pretty much just worked on projects & tried to enjoy the nice weather.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Want to do something good today? Join in on Operation Birthday, from Skol Girl, I know I am.

The 2017 draft order is finalized. We won the coin toss, which is actually not what we wanted.

Chris shared the story from Tomasson that the Vikings will likely tender Adam Thielen at the second round level.

Matt Asiata is not likely to return to the Vikings, per Chris. Sorry, Chuck.

Jeremiah Sirles, however, will likely remain with the Vikings. I’m glad we’re trying to keep him, he is a versatile and able backup, and could compete for a starting spot, if his play continues to improve.

Chris told us that Matt Kalil is apparently 100% healthy. Honestly, I don’t care. We had this same scenario last year, it lasted until week 2, then he was injured again. I’m hoping we can find a more reliable upgrade.

Vikings news from other sources:

The Vikings envision Eric Kendricks staying at middle linebacker in 2017, per ESPN.

Matt Vensel at the Strib says the Vikings have ample options to replace Adrian Peterson through the draft.

From Vikings.com:

NFL experts chime in on this year’s combine RB class.

The Today Show featured Sid Hartman, and the drive that keeps him going at 96.

They have a feature on certain positions, Craig Peters looks at tight ends, Eric Smith looks at wide receivers, and Lindsey Young looks at quarterbacks.

Around the rest of the NFL:

The Seahawks GM says Blair Walsh is a confident guy. Must’ve been listening to a lot of Tony Robbins lately, because that’s the polar opposite of what he was when he left Minnesota.

John Ross causes a little commotion at the combine when he broke the record 40 time with a blistering 4.22.

CBS Sports says that the Browns are primed to land Tyrod Taylor (RIP, Tyrod), and the Bears are eyeing Mike Glennon if Garropollo gets too expensive.

We come to today’s media selection.

Hey, remember these guys? I do, I liked them back in the day. Haven’t seen them around in forever, unfortunately.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the menudo.
