Minnesota Vikings Players React To Chad Greenway’s Retirement

Some of his teammates took to social media to express their gratitude

Earlier today, the Minnesota Vikings announced that linebacker Chad Greenway would officially be calling it a career on Tuesday. In the wake of that announcement, some of Greenway’s teammates took to social media to express their thanks and gratitude to their teammate. Here are some of the messages we’ve collected.

As more of these tributes roll in, we will attempt to add them here. However, it’s pretty easy to tell how much #52 meant to this team just from the messages that have rolled in so far.

Up until now, Greenway has been the longest-tenured member of the Vikings, being the lone member of the team’s 2006 draft class that is still on the roster (or even still in the National Football League, to my knowledge). That mantle is now assumed by defensive end Brian Robison. Robison, with the impending release of Adrian Peterson, is now the lone member of the Vikings’ 2007 draft class that is still with the team.

Congratulations, once again, to Chad Greenway on an outstanding career with the Minnesota Vikings.
