The National Football League has announced the schedule for the 2017 preseason, and the Minnesota Vikings will have one nationally featured game among their four contests.
The preseason for the Vikings will start out with a road trip to upstate New York, as they will take on the Buffalo Bills. That game will take place during the week of 10-14 August, with final dates and times to come somewhere down the track.
From there, the Vikings will have a second straight road trip, this time heading to the opposite coast for a contest with the Seattle Seahawks. That game will happen during the week of 17-21 August.
Much like last preseason, the Vikings won’t see the friendly confines of U.S. Bank Stadium until the All-Important Third Preseason Game™. The date and time has already been determined for this one, as it will be the nationally featured game at 7:00 PM Central on Sunday, 28 August. The game will be broadcast on NBC, and it will feature the Vikings hosting the San Francisco 49ers.
The preseason will conclude on either 31 August or 1 September at U.S. Bank Stadium, as the Vikings will take on the Miami Dolphins to round things out.
Of the four teams the Vikings will play this preseason, none of them are teams that they will see in the regular season. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing is entirely up to one’s own perspective.
But, there you have the Vikings’ 2017 preseason schedule, folks. Anyone planning on making the trek to any of these contests?
