Report: NFL Schedule To Be Released On April 20

We know the who and the where, and a week from today we’ll apparently find out the when.

Say what you will about the National Football League, but they certainly do know how to stretch the news out during a dead part of the offseason.

According to Detroit Lions’ president Rodney Wood (courtesy of FOX 2 in Detroit), the National Football League is set to release the 2017 regular season schedule exactly one week from today on 20 April.

We got the preseason schedule for the NFL earlier this week, and now it appears as though we’re going to get the rest before too much longer.

We already know a little bit of the Minnesota Vikings’ schedule. We know for certain that they will be making the pilgrimage to London to serve as the visiting team for a game against the Cleveland Browns in either Week 7 or Week 8. I would assume that means that the Vikings’ bye week would come in either Week 8 or Week 9. Of course, this is the National Football League, so it also wouldn’t surprise me to see the Vikings play a Thursday night game the week after they play in London, either.

(Seriously, if that happened to anyone, what other team would it happen to?)

To review, here are the Vikings’ home and road opponents for the 2017 NFL season:

Home Games: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Rams

Away Games: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns (in London), Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Redskins

Got any predictions for what we’ll see on the 2017 Minnesota Vikings’ schedule, folks?
