Hey, everybody! Did you know that the Minnesota Vikings are set to host the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football in Week 1 this upcoming season?
Well, if you didn’t know that, it’s not a problem. According to reports, you’re about to be reminded of it every single damn day until kickoff.
Sources: #Saints & Adrian Peterson believed to be closing in on a deal that’d pay him $3M+ in ’17. Not done, but moving in that direction.

Yes, according to Ian Rapoport. . .who is as good a source for these sorts of things as any. . .Adrian Peterson, the Vikings’ all-time leading rusher, is apparently on the verge of a deal with the New Orleans Saints.
If you’re not aware, the Vikings and Saints are set to meet on the season opener of Monday Night Football at U.S. Bank Stadium this season.
Man, this is so totally out of left field, isn’t it?
If the #Vikings are hosting the Saints in the opener on MNF, what's the over/under on AP signing with New Orleans? Draft night?

It doesn’t seem like an optimal fit for Peterson, as he’s going to a team that plays a lot out of the shotgun to (presumably) be the backup to Mark Ingram. But, at the present time, it looks like that’s what’s happening.
As for me, I’ll be looking forward to Peterson’s first press conference in New Orleans where he says that he doesn’t feel the Vikings appreciated him enough and half of Vikings’ nation instinctively defending him for saying it.
Because you know that’s what’s going to happen.
