For the fourth time in as many picks this evening, the Minnesota Vikings are involved in a trade. This time, their partner is the San Francisco 49ers.

The Vikings have traded their second pick in the third round, #104 overall, to the Niners for the second pick in tomorrow’s fourth round (#109 overall) and an additional seventh-round pick, which will come at #219 overall.

The Vikings came by this pick in their deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, which saw them move down from #86 to #104 and pick up a fourth-round selection and a seventh-round pick in the process.

Thus far, that means that the Minnesota Vikings have only selected two players in the 2017 NFL Draft. They took Florida State running back Dalvin Cook at #41 overall, and Ohio State offensive lineman Pat Elflein at #70. Both of those picks came after the Vikings traded up to get the players they were targeting.

So, it appears that the Vikings are finished for Day 2 of this year’s NFL Draft. We’ll have more coverage of the Vikings’ draft right here for you at The Daily Norseman.
