To start the seventh round, the Minnesota Vikings found them with back-to-back picks at #219 and #220 overall. After selecting Miami wide receiver Stacy Coley with the first pick in the seventh round, and they followed that up with a developmental prospect at the defensive end spot.

With the second of their four seventh-round picks, the Minnesota Vikings have selected Ifeadi Odenigbo, a defensive end from Northwestern University.

Despite not playing football until his sophomore year of high school, Odenigbo came to Northwestern as one of the top recruits in the country. He was used primarily as a pass rusher by the Wildcats, and has the athletic ability to contribute in that capacity in the National Football League. His technique is going to need some refining at the beginning, but he’s incredibly strong and should be able to translate that to the NFL level.

The Vikings still have two more selections remaining in Round 7, as they select at #232 and #245 overall.

Welcome to Minnesota, Ifeadi Odenigbo!
