2017 NFL Draft: Minnesota Vikings Select Elijah Lee

Back to the defense for Minnesota, this time to the linebacker corps

NCAA Football: Oklahoma State at Kansas State Scott Sewell-USA TODAY Sports

Already having selected one linebacker in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings decided to double up on the position in the seventh round with the third of their four final round picks.

With the 232nd overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings selected linebacker Elijah Lee from Kansas State University.

Lee is a long, rangy linebacker with long arms that knows how to get himself into position to make plays. He has the athleticism to stay on the field for all three downs, and with the state of the Vikings’ linebacking corps could compete for some playing time right away. He could also be a solid contributor on special teams for the Vikings in the near future as well.

The Vikings have just one pick remaining in this year’s draft, and it will come at #245 overall. We’ll have that here for you.

Welcome to Minnesota, Elijah Lee!
