It’s finally Thorsday!

Merry Thorsday, everyone!

Wow, this week is dragging, I don’t know about you but I’m ready to do some fishing.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

From Eric, the Vikings strengthened their WR corps even more as they signed free agent WR Michael Floyd to a one-year deal. Floyd has played in Arizona for most of his career since being drafted by AZ in the first round in 2012, although he played in New England for a short time at the end of last year. He has shown a lot of talent, but has battled some off-field issues (2 DUIs). I’m all for second chances, so best of luck to Floyd both on & off the field as he moves back home to join the Vikings.

Vikings news from other sources:

From Andrew Krammer at the Strib, Latavius Murray will bring in another $2.3 million if he meets incentives. He’ll have Dalvin Cook fighting for carries as well, so it should be an interesting battle.

From Vikings.com:

Hey, there are some newer videos in the Vikings media vault.

Lindsey Young looks at Adam Schein’s list of moves that will have the biggest impact, and the Vikings came in second with their move to get Dalvin Cook.

News from around the rest of the league:

The Panthers DL coach said Julius Peppers looks as good as he did seven years ago, per NFL.com. Peppers is back in Carolina at the young age of 37 after spending a couple of seasons.........over there.

We come to today’s media selection.

This time of the season can seem to go on and on, my friends.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the head cheese.
