Merry Tuesday, everyone!
off season grilling season summer day (don’t bother telling me it’s not officially summer yet. Once I can do yard work in shorts, it’s summer) here in Bismarck, these are the days I miss working outside. Hey, sorry I let the convo go a little too long yesterday, folks come here because it’s fun, I’ll do better to keep it that way.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Wludford broke down the position battles at wide receiver.
From Chris, Mike Zimmer will miss OTAs as he recovers from his latest eye surgery.
Vikings news from other sources:
From VikingsWire at USA Today, Cris Carter called Randy Moss the most talented WR ever born.
At Vikings.com, Craig Peters gives us four intriguing aspects of OTAs, also six quotes from Mike Zimmer. Here’s a statement from Rick Spielman regarding Mike Zimmer.
Around the rest of the NFL:
From NFL.com, Kyle Shanahan says it will be hard for Robert Griffen to find a good fit.
The NFL has said Darrelle Revis is not being disciplined for his February arrest, per Fox Sports. I’m kinda surprised, the NFL did the right thing here, IMO.
We come to our media selection.
Hey, the Vikings defeated the Raiders last weekend in Austria. Yes, you heard that right. You missed it? Well, lemme recap for you. The Dacia Vikings Vienna squared off against the Swarco Raiders Tirol, and they kicked the dog snot out of them. A little AFL (Austrian Football League) action for you on this highlight clip. Many thanks to Tor 66 for this one.
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the blood sausage.
