Happy Monday everyone!
Okay, it’s updated, sorry for the delay.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
The Vikings may sign Michael Floyd, but they may wait, per Chris.
Chris shared the Dead Tree Media Review on Dalvin Cook, and also their review on Pat Elflein.
Moritz Bohringer takes a look back on his first year.
Coach Zimmer is ‘more optimistic than ever’ about Teddy Bridgewater’s return. This warms my heart a few degrees.
ESPN thinks the WR spot still needs the Vikings’ attention, per Chris.
Chris goes off-topic and looked at Minnesota Vikings horse names.
Wludford takes a look at the Vikings D-line and wonders if they’re poised for greatness.
Vikings news from elsewhere:
Adrian Peterson has a message for his Vikings fans.
I’ll miss AD, I think he’s one of the all-time best at his position & I’m thankful for what he did here in Minnesota. Any game with him in it was exciting because you knew something big could happen any time he had the ball. I loved watching him destroy defenders (especially Packers) and breaking one off. He basically carried us into the playoffs in 2012, and was a big reason we were there again in 2015. So best of luck to AD (but not his new team) as he moves on, I honestly hope to see him back in purple one more time before he hangs it up.
From the Pioneer Press, it looks like the Vikes are going to convert a QB to safety.
RB Coach Kennedy Polamalu is tasked with getting the running game going post-AD.
From Vikings.com, the Vikings named Tina Holmes their Chief of Staff and Stategic Advisor, Wobby opened the Monday Morning Mailbag, the media vault has Dalvin Cook rookie camp highlights, Coach Zimmer addressed the media, here’s a link to the vault, you’ll find quite a bit from over the weekend.
News from around the rest of the league:
From NFL.com, Nate Burleson will be going to CBS and joining The NFL Today cast. I like Nate, he’s been one of the good ones in the sports media.
ESPN has their post-draft power rankings, they’re dumb.
We come to today’s media selection.
Here’s a perfect tune for spring. Crank it up!
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the tiger meat.
