AD Says Farewell to the Fans, and we say Farewell to AD

I’d just like to wish him well & thank him for being one the greatest

Hi everyone!

Adrian Peterson said a heartfelt good bye to the fans on Twitter. He’s been here a long time, and at times, was one of the few bright spots on the team. He’s also been a part of some really fun years for us (remember 2009?).

There have been a few topics that have come up that have caused some Richter-scale level rumblings here, and we tend to avoid those topics. The Adrian Peterson history is one of those topics, so I’ll find some middle ground for us all so we can say good-bye to the man as he moves on to finish his career after being the face of the franchise for almost a decade.

I loved watching Peterson with the ball in his hands, he had a rare mixture of power, speed, and agility that allowed him to do things that most humans cannot do, and it was a treat to watch. Honestly, me babbling about his play doesn’t do it justice, there’s nothing like just watching him in action.

That hit on William Gay will be forever etched in my mind.

Good luck tackling him

.....or catching him

I’ll miss AD, I think he’s one of the all-time best at his position & I’m thankful for what he did here in Minnesota. Any game with him in it was exciting because you knew something big could happen any time he had the ball. I loved watching him destroy defenders (especially Packers) and breaking one off. He basically carried us into the playoffs in 2012, and was a big reason we were there again in 2015. So best of luck to AD (but not his new team) as he moves on, I honestly hope to see him back in purple one more time before he hangs it up.
