The NFL Network did another edition of this year’s Top 100 last night, and another member of the Minnesota Vikings garnered some well-deserved recognition.

Harrison Smith got onto the list on last night’s program, checking in at #74. That seems a bit low for him (in my completely unbiased opinion), but it’s good to see him on the list anyway.
Smith didn’t put up huge numbers from a statistical standpoint this season. . .this season was the first of his five years in the league where he didn’t collect any interceptions and he was only credited with two passes defended. . .but it’s hard to deny what a huge part of the Minnesota defense he was this past season. The list of players at the safety position that are better than Harrison Smith is a very short one, that’s for sure.
Congratulations to Harrison Smith on being a part of this year’s NFL Network Top 100. We’ll be keeping an eye on the list to see how many more Vikings find their way on there.
