Earlier this week, the Minnesota Vikings made a bit of a shakeup in their front office, and one move in particular stands out.
According to Alex Marvez of The Sporting News, the Vikings promoted Kelly Kleine to the position of College Scouting Coordinator. Kleine had been working as a college scouting assistant prior to the promotion.
"She does about 1,000 different things to say the least," Spielman told Sporting News in a telephone interview. "She basically has her hands in all day-to-day operations on the personnel side."
According to the article by Marvez, Kleine is one of just 14 women that works in football operations across the National Football League. You can see the full list of things that she’s involved with in the article, and it’s pretty extensive, including scouting college players at pro days and preparing scouting reports.
Kleine has only been with the organization since 2013, so the amount of progress she’s made in reaching her current role is pretty damn impressive.
Congratulations to Kelly Kleine on her promotion to College Scouting Coordinator with the Minnesota Vikings!
