When the NFL released their schedule for the 2017 preseason, we knew that the Minnesota Vikings would have one matchup that would be nationally televised. Their game at U.S. Bank Stadium against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3 of the preseason will be featured on Sunday Night Football on NBC on Sunday, 27 August.
Now, the NFL Network has announced that the Vikings will be getting a second preseason broadcast that will be available nationwide, as the Vikings trip to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Seattle Seahawks will be shown live on Friday, 18 August.
The broadcast will be a late one, with the game scheduled to kick off at 9 PM Central time that evening. But, hey, it’s a Friday night, so it’s not as bad as it could be.
I’m assuming that the NFL Network will eventually show replays of every preseason contest as they’ve done in past years. When we have dates and times for those replays, we will bring them to you here.
But, if you really want to watch some Minnesota Vikings preseason action live and in living color, you will now have two opportunities to do that. If you’re outside of the Twin Cities, I mean. All of the Vikings’ preseason games will be shown love on FOX 9 (unless that’s changed) for everyone in the greater Twin Cities area and locations throughout the Upper Midwest.
