Sam Bradford Limited In OTAs With Muscle Soreness

Good thing it’s only June

In the open portion of Tuesday’s Organized Team Activities at Winter Park, the Minnesota Vikings left quarterback Sam Bradford on the sideline, allowing Case Keenum and Taylor Heinicke to split snaps with the first team.

The “injury”. . .if we can call it that. . .was classified as muscle soreness, and head coach Mike Zimmer said that he was optimistic that Bradford would be back in his normal role on Wednesday.

(Cue the “How can he be sore if all he does is throw checkdowns hurr durr durr” questions.)

There’s no harm in having Bradford sit for a day, particularly if it gives Keenum and Heinicke an opportunity to see some time with the first team offense. But, since we’re well into the long, dark tea time of the offseason with Training Camp still a month and a half away, this is as “newsworthy” an item as any at this point.

So, there you have it.
