Hump Daaaayyyyyyy!

Chris Walsh

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Hey, there’s actually a little bit of football news to share today as the Vikings continue to hold OTAs. The team worked on the goal line offense and Sam Bradford was limited. That’s about it, but at least it’s something football related.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Chris continued his Minnesota Vikings by the Numbers series with another bit of a tough decision at number 93.

Sam Bradford was limited yesterday in OTAs with muscle soreness, per Chris.

From Skelly 10, the team focused on their goal line offense yesterday in OTAs.

Luft Krigare asked if the Vikings should be concerned about their trip to London after the most recent cowardly terrorist attack.

Three Vikings appeared on the NFL’s top 25 defensive touchdowns list, per Chris. (I totally agree with Chris here, it should have been four)

Vikings news from other sources:

From Vikings.com, Coach Zimmer addressed the media yesterday, and talked about his eye, Teddy’s progress, and more. Sure is nice to see him back, I friggin’ love that guy. Also, here are highlights from yesterday’s OTAs.

Around the rest of the league:

From NFL.com, the Jets released gritty wide receiver, Eric Decker, they also reached out to Steve Smith about playing in 2017, per NFL.com.

Rex Ryan and his brother Rob are accused of assault after being in a bar fight in Nashville, per the Sporting News.

Cool story from Michael Rand at the Strib, two Packer fans gave a stranded motorist (and also a Packers player) a ride to Green Bay.

We come to today’s media selection.

Thanks to my new friend Tor 66 for this. Here’s some real football from across the pond....the across some land.....and stuff. This is some pretty neat stuff, take some time to watch the pregame and all of that, it’s worth it.

We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep vulgar language to a minimum, using spoiler tags if you must
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the chitlins.
